Are you ready for Burbank’s spring real estate market? I want to share simple ideas that can help you have a stronger second quarter. These are things I talk about regularly with agents who want to grow their business. None of it is complicated, but it does require consistency and focus.

Here are a few reminders that can make a big difference this season.

Focus on speed to lead. One of the biggest advantages you can create in your business is responding to leads quickly. When someone reaches out, getting back to them as fast as possible can make the difference between winning the client or losing them to someone else. Speed matters, and agents who make quick contact put themselves in a much better position.

Commit to massive follow-up. Most people stop after just a few attempts, but that’s not enough. I was recently reminded by my coach that it can take a lot more outreach before someone actually responds. In some cases, you may need to reach out as many as 21 times before you finally make contact. The key is staying consistent and not giving up too early.

Take a look at the people around you. As we move into the second quarter, it’s also a good time to think about who you’re surrounding yourself with. Look at the group of Realtors you spend time with and ask yourself if they’re operating at the level you want to reach. If your goal is to close around 12 transactions a year, it helps to spend time with agents who are already doing that or even more.

Consider forming a mastermind group. If you don’t already have that kind of environment, talk with your broker about creating one. Setting up a mastermind group with other agents can be a great way to share ideas and keep each other focused on improving.

Work with a coach. Another step that can help accelerate your growth is working with a coach. A good coach can help you stay on track and guide you toward the goals you’re trying to reach. Having that outside perspective can be valuable when you’re trying to move your business to the next level.

The good news is that the market environment is looking promising, and there’s a lot to be optimistic about as we move through the spring season.
